My name is Ethan Paul, and I am an engineer working in tech! I graduated as a part of Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Class of 2017 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am an avid outdoorsman, a former Boy Scout, and had a lot of fun getting my SolidWorks Certified Professional Certification (even though I don't actually use it). I'm also a Type 1 Diabetic who enjoy's hacking my OmniPod insulin pump, and I can make a mean omelet (if I do say so myself).
My interests are pretty varied and constantly changing, but most often you can find me programming in Python, learning about practical repairs to internal combustion engines, or answering hypothetical questions on StackExchange World Building. I also enjoy reading! Some of my favorite books are Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy, Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking Series, F.Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, and just about anything written by Michael Crichton.
I do lots of things! I work at Starry Inc, volunteer with Minds Matter Boston as a youth mentor, and give excessively passionate tours at the Boston Metropolitan Waterworks Museum. I also enjoy programming, urban and trail hiking, fixing my aging car, and maintaining my homelab equipment and systems.
Interested in volunteering in the Boston area? Both Minds Matter and the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum are looking for new volunteers! Click those links to learn how you can get involved!
